Find Simons Brick here!

Simons Brick – manufactured in Southern California until the mid-1930s had an incredible following in the Southwestern U.S.  Both Lowe’s and Home Depot carried the re-created line of these brick.  Old clay bricks were located, had molds made of them and the same process that manufacturers use for concrete stone material was put to use.  Now a thin, concrete version of both the “Red Used” and the “Desert Sand” colors were created.  The great price point and ease of use caught the attention of the big warehouse chains.  Times changed, and both stores dropped the line; much to the dismay of happy customers across the nation.

Arizona Brick Source is now the premier supplier of this material.  ABS stocks the face brick (2 1/4 inches tall X 7 5/8 inches long) and the paving brick (approx. 3 5/8 inches tall X 7 5/8 inches long).  All of these are 1/2 inch thick and are easily applied with thinset or a construction adhesive.  These are a great, inexpensive way for the do-it-yourselfer to drastically change the look of any surface:  kitchens to porches and ceilings … no limit.

Located in central Phoenix and open most days.  Call 602-956-5579 for info.
